Leading Zephyrhills Christian Academy to victory were Jordani Blanc and Rogers Jones. Blanc scored 20 points along with six rebounds, while Jones scored 24 points along with nine rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which Blanc has scored at least 25% of Zephyrhills Christian Academy's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Xavier Perez, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds.
Hollins' defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Josh Castallani, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds. Aidan Lemons was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with five assists.
Zephyrhills Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 2-6. As for Hollins, their loss dropped their record down to 8-3.
Zephyrhills Christian Academy will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Academy at the Lakes at 6:00 p.m. on January 8, 2024. Hollins will be home for the holidays to greet Shorecrest Prep at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Florida (Shorecrest Prep is ranked 358th, while Hollins is ranked 368th).
