Kathleen had to kick off their season on the road on Monday, but they showed no ill effects. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 59-57 victory over the Lake Region Thunder. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Red Devils have posted since January 14th.

Kathleen's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Rashard Kelly led the charge by putting up 18 points and three steals. Another player making a difference was Jayshaun Frederick, who posted 14 points.

When it comes to explaining why Lake Region lost, don't look at Robeano Morris. Despite the final result, he had 22 points.

Kathleen wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 69-57 defeat against Ridge Community on the 18th. As for Lake Region, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 71-35 victory against Mulberry on the 18th.
