Dakota had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out the Lake Orion Dragons 7-5. That's more bragging rights for the Cougars, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Dakota's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-4-1. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.7 runs over those games. As for Lake Orion, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season.

Dakota will take on Utica Eisenhower at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Lake Orion, they will venture away from home to square off against Clarkston at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
