After both having extra time off, the Lake Catholic Cougars and the Keystone Wildcats will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lake Catholic will be strutting in after a victory while Keystone will be coming in after a loss.

Lake Catholic won the last time they faced Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin and Lola Loncar did her part to make sure it happened again. The Cougars walked away with a 3-1 win over the Lions on Thursday for which the team can thank Loncar, who had 38 digs and four assists. Loncar is crushing it when it comes to digs: she's had at least ten every time she's taken the court this season.
Lake Catholic got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the second set. The final score came out to 25-19, 30-28, 23-25, 25-18.
Lake Catholic relied on the efforts of Ava Starr, who had 50 assists and ten digs, and Maddie Summers, who had 12 digs and two aces. The dominant performance also gave Starr a new career-high in kills (two).
Meanwhile, Keystone was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to Wellington. While the Wildcats didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Dukes 25-18 in the first set.
Keystone started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 18-25, 25-12, 25-12, 25-15.
Lake Catholic is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-10 record this season. As for Keystone, their loss dropped their record down to 4-18.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Thursday's match: Lake Catholic has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 5.3 aces per game.
