Baseball Recap: Ravenswood Has No Trouble Against Oak Glen

After having lost a blowout in their previous game, Ravenswood was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They blew past the Oak Glen Golden Bears 19-6. This was a revenge game for the Red Devils: when they faced off against the Golden Bears on Saturday, they had to take a 16-9 loss.

The team relied heavily on Noah Dawson, who went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, five RBI, and two runs. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Evan Hickman, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.

Dawson wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Ravenswood kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Oak Glen only managed five hits.

The win got Ravenswood back to even at 1-1. As for Oak Glen, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Ravenswood will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Tug Valley at 6:00 p.m. on April 2. As for Oak Glen, they will challenge Cameron at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
