Andover is 8-2 against Chelmsford since April of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Golden Warriors will host the Lions at 4:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Andover will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up two runs on Thursday, then bounced right back against Central Catholic on Sunday. The Golden Warriors blew past the Raiders 14-2. With that victory, the Golden Warriors brought their scoring average up to 6.5 runs per game.
Zach Pawlowski looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two hits any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Andover got a massive performance out of Ryan Jaillet, who went 2-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and two doubles. Those two doubles gave Jaillet a new career-high. Will Norris was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Andover was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .452. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Chelmsford entered their tilt with Tewksbury Memorial on Sunday with five consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with six. They put the hurt on the Redmen with a sharp 12-2 win.
Finn Ramseyer was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. That triple marked the first that he has hit this season. Another player making a difference was John Latham, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
Andover pushed their record up to 12-3 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Chelmsford, their victory bumped their record up to 13-6.
Monday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Andover hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .314. However, it's not like Chelmsford struggles in that department as they've averaged .324. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Andover's way against Chelmsford in their previous meeting back in April, as Andover made off with a 9-0 win. Will the Golden Warriors repeat their success, or do the Lions have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
