The Fairview Knights can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. It was close, but they ultimately received the gift of a 68-65 victory from a begrudging Knightssquad. The victory was just what they needed coming off of a 73-43 defeat in their prior game.
Fairview's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Toray Davis, who scored 20 points along with six rebounds and five assists. That's the first time this season that Davis scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Spencer Brown, who scored 18 points along with three steals.
Rangeview lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Archie Weatherspoon V, who scored 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mareon Chapman, who scored 14 points.
The win got Fairview back to even at 4-4. As for Rangeview, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season.
Fairview and Legacy will face off at 12:00 p.m. on January 6, 2024 without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. As for Rangeview, they will head out on the road to face off against Ralston Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Ralston Valley has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 456 points over their last seven matches.
