The Waltrip Rams will square off against the Galena Park Yellowjackets at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
On Tuesday, Waltrip got the win against Sharpstown by a conclusive 16-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Rams.
Ariana Molina made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out six batters over three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in March of 2025.

In other batting news, Danielle Ward was a standout: she got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. She is also on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games she's played. Macy Kauffman was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base.
Meanwhile, Galena Park never let their opponents score on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by an 18-0 margin over Spring Woods. The Yellowjackets haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.
Galena Park got a massive performance out of Cailin Fountain, who fired off two home runs and three RBI while going 2-for-3. Mikayla De Santiago also deserves some recognition as she launched her first home run of the season.
Galena Park always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .615. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Spring Woods only posted an OBP of .100.
Waltrip's record is now 14-4-1. As for Galena Park, their record now sits at 17-3.
Thursday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Waltrip hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .414. However, it's not like Galena Park struggles in that department as they've averaged .401. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Waltrip suffered a grim 15-3 defeat to Galena Park in their previous matchup back in February. Can the Rams avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
