After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Ozark, Lamar was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They breezed past the Waldron Bulldogs to the tune of 42-14. The result was nothing new for the Warriors, who have now won four contests by 21 points or more so far this season.
Lamar's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ayden Sanders led the charge by rushing for 138 yards on only 11 carries. Those 138 rushing yards gave Sanders a new career-high. Eli Jones was another key player, rushing for 28 yards and a pair of touchdowns.
Lamar didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. Jake Wyles picked up that interception and then proceeded to rub salt in the wound by taking it back the other way for a touchdown. He got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
