Salem has gone 8-2 against Eastern recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Lions will take on the Musketeers at 6:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Salem is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They never let Clarksville get on the board and left with a 10-0 win. Considering the Lions have won nine games by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Adison Feist made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Lila Blevins, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April. Natalee Boutelle also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
Salem was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .379. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Clarksville only posted a batting average of .167.
Meanwhile, Eastern had to endure an eight-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They blew past Crawford County 11-3 on Thursday. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Musketeers' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.
Salem's record is now 11-9. As for Eastern, their record now sits at 3-17.
Everything went Salem's way against Eastern when the teams last played back in April, as Salem made off with a 21-9 victory. Do the Lions have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Musketeers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
