The Wakefield School Fighting Owls put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They strolled past Foxcroft with points to spare, taking the game 27-12. Despite the victory, that was the fewest points Wakefield School has scored all year.
Wakefield School got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Ceci Turner out in front who scored seven points along with ten steals. Turner is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last eight games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Aya Mason, who scored six points along with seven rebounds and five blocks.
Wakefield School's win was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-0. As for Foxcroft, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
Wakefield School won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Christ Chapel Academy at 4:00 p.m. on January 19th. As for Foxcroft, they will head out on the road to square off against Highland at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Highland's defense has only allowed 25.9 points per game this season, so Foxcroft's offense will have their work cut out for them.
