The Chalker Wildcats are taking a road trip to take on the Bristol Panthers at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Chalker will be strutting in after a win while Bristol will be coming in after a defeat.
On Friday, Chalker made easy work of Windham and carried off a 15-4 victory. The win continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Bombers: they've now won nine in a row.
Riley Ashcraft was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over three innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. Ashcraft was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI.

In other batting news, Chalker got a massive performance out of Kelsey Kren, who scored four runs and stole two bases while going 4-for-4. That's the most hits Kren has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Abby Grimm, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs.
Meanwhile, Bristol unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of St. John by a score of 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Panthers have suffered since April 18, 2024.
Like Chalker, Bristol also got a great game from a two-way player: Mycie Workman. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits. Workman was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 4-for-5.
Workman wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Alexa Atchison, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double. Ellie Anderson was another, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.
Chalker's record is now 2-0. As for Bristol, the defeat was their first on the road , dropping their record down to 4-2.
Chalker skirted past Bristol 9-7 in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
