NCSSM: Morganton will head out on the road to square off against the Draughn Wildcats at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. NCSSM: Morganton comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 17 points in their last seven games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
Last Friday, NCSSM: Morganton took a serious blow against Owen, falling 52-9.
Meanwhile, Draughn came up short against Rosman on Friday and fell 50-41. Draughn has not had much luck with Rosman recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
NCSSM: Morganton bumped their record down to 1-7 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 10.0 points per game. As for Draughn, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season.
NCSSM: Morganton was dealt a bruising 81-6 loss at the hands of Draughn in their previous meeting back in February of 2023. Thankfully for NCSSM: Morganton, Aubrie Snyder (who scored 15 points along with six rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
