Enumclaw is a perfect 5-0 against Jefferson since April of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. Alyssa Harris made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out nine batters over five innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4. That's the most runs she has posted since back in May of 2024.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ashlyn Elder, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, three doubles, and two RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024. Kaylie Plyler was another key player, scoring three runs while going 2-for-3.
Enumclaw kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Jefferson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 7-1 to Kentlake.
Delaney Merritt spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and three unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up 15 Ks.
At the plate, Jefferson saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jesabella Arceo, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base.

Jefferson's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Enumclaw has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 12 hits per game. It's a different story for Jefferson, though, as they've been averaging 12.7 hits. Given Enumclaw's sizable advantage in that area, Jefferson will need to find a way to close that gap.
Enumclaw took their win against Jefferson when the teams last played back in March of 2019 by a conclusive 17-2. Does Enumclaw have another victory up their sleeve, or will Jefferson turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
