Vistamar is 8-2 against Wildwood since February of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. The Vistamar Vikings will head out on the road to take on the Wildwood Wolves at 6:30 p.m. Vistamar is looking to tack on another W to their eight-game streak on the road.
Last Friday, Vistamar didn't have too much trouble with Lennox Academy on the road as they won 57-41. Given Vistamar's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 566th, while Lennox Academy is ranked 1219th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Isaiah Hill continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 27 points along with eight rebounds and six assists. Hill is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Caiden Chen, who scored nine points along with four steals.
Meanwhile, Wildwood strolled past Lennox Academy with points to spare on Wednesday, taking the game 58-44. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Wildwood.
Vistamar is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season. As for Wildwood, their win bumped their record up to 9-4.
Vistamar barely slipped by Wildwood when the teams last played back in December of 2023, winning 45-44. The rematch might be a little tougher for Vistamar since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
