The Frankfort Hot Dogs entered their tilt with the Crawfordsville Athenians with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Frankfort came out on top against Crawfordsville by a score of 61-49 on Friday. This was payback for Frankfort, who suffered a 59-40 loss the last time these two teams met.
Leading Frankfort to victory were Alex Farley and Kye Kirby. Farley scored 21 points along with five rebounds, while Kirby scored 22 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. Kirby hasn't dropped below 15 points for five straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Doug Wood, who scored six points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Crawfordsville's loss came despite strong showings from Drake Burris and Ethan McLemore. Burris scored 17 points, while McLemore scored 12 points along with six assists and three steals. That's the first time this season that Burris scored 15 or more points. Tyson Fuller was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Frankfort has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-7 record this season. As for Crawfordsville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-6.
Frankfort will head out on the road to take on West Lafayette at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. West Lafayette will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive. Crawfordsville will take on Northview at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Northview focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Friday.
