Bunkie got themselves on the board against Lafayette Christian Academy on Friday, but Lafayette Christian Academy never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Knights with a sharp 10-0 win. Bunkie pushed their record up to 11-10 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.0 runs over those games. As for Lafayette Christian Academy, they moved to 10-5 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.
Looking ahead, Bunkie will head out to challenge Holy Savior Menard at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Lafayette Christian Academy, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Mamou at 4:00 p.m.
