While Hidalgo's victory against La Feria wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Pirates narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Lions 2-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 12-3 back in March.

Hidalgo secured the victory behind a pair of hitters. One of them was Brent Ian Szczuroski, who went 2-for-4 with one run.

Hidalgo is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.7 runs over those games. As for La Feria, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 9-5.
