Lodi has gone a perfect 10-0 against West recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Flames will host the Wolfpack at 4:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Lodi is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Tracy just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Thursday. They came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 12-4. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Flames, who until this contest were averaging 4.09 runs allowed.
Allison Frank was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Ellie Schallberger, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, West lost 10-2 to St. Mary's on Thursday.
Kayla McWhorter spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered ten runs (all of which were unearned) on five hits and racked up six Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up a single earned run any time she's pitched this season.
On the hitting side, Jia Camacho made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Mya Camp, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
Lodi's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4-1. As for West, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.
West's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Lodi hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .324. It's a different story for West, though, as they've only averaged .173. Will they be able to contain Lodi's hitters?
Lodi got the 'W' when the teams last played back in April of 2025 against West by a conclusive 14-0 score. Do the Flames have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wolfpack turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
