Basketball Recap: Creekside Piles Up the Points Against Sandalwood

With a playoff win on the line, Creekside rose to the challenge on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Sandalwood Saints 55-18. The Knights have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matchups by 23 points or more this season.

Presley Brinkley had an outrageously good game as she posted 13 points along with five assists and four steals. That's the most steals she has posted since back in November of 2024. Brie McCoy was another key player, going 5 of 9 on her way to 12 points and eight boards.

When it comes to explaining why Sandalwood lost, don't look at Kirsten Gudmalin. Despite the final result, she put up ten points.

The win made it two in a row for Creekside and bumps their season record up to 15-7. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 38.5 points. As for Sandalwood, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 12 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-16 record this season.

Creekside wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 55-38 victory against Atlantic Coast on the 7th. Sandalwood does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
