4A Region III District 22 recap Oct. 3, 2012
Ridge Point moved up to 862 from 966 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in 4A Region III District 22. Ridge Point climbed the ranks as a result of a 38-18 win over Tomball Memorial.
Fort Bend Marshall extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Tomball, 58-20. The victory was the fourth in a row for the team.
Tomball's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Cougars feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Drew Reynolds has thrown for 260 yards and two touchdowns this season, while Xavier Powell has four catches for 77 yards. Powell leads the league in rushing with 395 yards.
A big matchup in 4A Region III District 22 this week will be when Ridge Point takes on Fort Bend Marshall. As it stands, Ridge Point is in fourth, while James Williams's team is in first.
Stratford took down Spring Woods 63-13 last week, the largest margin of any game.
