Softball Recap: Clearwater Valley Has No Trouble Against Prairie

Clearwater Valley barely beat Prairie the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Rams blew past the Pirates 16-6 on Tuesday. The Rams haven't had any issues with the Pirates recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Megan Myers and Jesse Rice did most of the damage at the plate: Myers went 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple, while Rice went 3-for-4 with three runs, two doubles, and two RBI. Those two doubles gave Rice a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Evalie Schuster, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one double.

Clearwater Valley always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .632. They are 9-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Clearwater Valley's record now sits at 14-7. As for Prairie, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season.

Clearwater Valley wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 12-2 loss against Genesee on the 6th. Prairie does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
