Perry was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from eighth to sixth in AAAA Region 2. The Panthers beat West Laurens 28-14 earlier in the week.
Mary Persons added to the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Westside, 16-13. The win marks sixth in a row for the the Bulldogs.
Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, Mary Persons' Cal King and Akebren Ralls have proven to be a lethal combination. King has thrown for 686 yards this season, while Ralls has 9 catches for 247 yards. Howard's JaQuan Stinson leads the league in rushing yards with 443.
Veterans took down the Huskies 42-7 last week, the largest margin of any game.
