The Tornillo Coyotes's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their 22nd straight defeat. Their tough 46-20 defeat to Compass Academy might stick with them for a while. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Tornillo of the 45-28 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Compass Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Peyton Stewart, who almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Anahi Gonzalez, who scored nine points along with six steals and five assists.
Tornillo dropped their record down to 1-22 with that defeat, which was their 18th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Compass Academy, their win ended a seven-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-17.
Tornillo does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Compass Academy also has no future games currently scheduled.
