On Friday, the Blythewood Bengals faced the Ridge View Blazers in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Blythewood fell just short of Ridge View by a score of 55-52. Blythewood's defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
Blythewood's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Will Olden, who scored 12 points. The contest was Olden's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Kishan Chung, who scored 13 points.
Blythewood has yet to win a contest at home this season, leaving them with a 3-1 record. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.3 points per game. As for Ridge View, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.
Blythewood's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Westwood at 7:30 p.m. on December 5th. Westwood knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past five contests -- so hopefully Blythewood likes a good challenge. As for Ridge View, they will head out on the road to face off against Hammond at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
