The Pelham Panthers won the last time they faced the Marbury Bulldogs, and things went their way on Monday too. Pelham managed a 54-48 victory over Marbury.
Tee King was her usual excellent self, scoring 26 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. That makes it five consecutive games in which King has scored at least 25% of Pelham's points. Another player making a difference was Ally Barfield, who scored six points along with three steals.
Pelham's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-7. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.0 points per game. As for Marbury, they have fallen quite a ways from their 23-4 record last season and are now at 3-5.
Pelham won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Prattville at 5:30 p.m. on December 12th. Prattville presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Pelham in Alabama (Prattville is ranked 35th, while Pelham is ranked 89th). As for Marbury, they will head out on the road to face off against Benjamin Russell at 5:30 p.m. on December 19th.
