North Augusta's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They put the hurt on Aiken with a sharp 15-0 victory.

Lia Allen was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Allen was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Savannah Allen was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Lyla Brummond, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with three RBI and two runs.
North Augusta was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. They are 5-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Midland Valley made easy work of South Aiken on Thursday and carried off a 10-1 win. The victory continues a trend for the Mustangs in their matchups with the Thoroughbreds: they've now won six in a row.
Larue Hicks spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on six hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Midland Valley got a big performance out of Bailey Seabolt, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Addison Haltiwanger, who got on base in three of her five plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.
North Augusta now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Midland Valley, their win bumped their record up to 13-5.
Tuesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. North Augusta hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .313. However, it's not like Midland Valley struggles in that department as they've averaged .362. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
North Augusta was able to grind out a solid victory over Midland Valley in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, winning 11-8. Will the Yellow Jackets repeat their success, or do the Mustangs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
