The Abbott RVT Wolverines will face off against the Platt RVT Panthers at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.
Platt RVT will be up against a hot Abbott RVT squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. Everything went the Wolverines' way against O'Brien RVT on Monday as they made off with a 12-3 win. The Wolverines might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by nine runs or more this season.

Jake Farrell spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on three hits and racked up seven Ks. He is becoming a predictor of Abbott RVT's success: when he allows at most two earned runs the team is 4-1 (and 3-4 when he doesn't).
On the hitting side, Tyler Waterbury was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Abbott RVT is undefeated when Waterbury posts three or more RBI, but 3-5 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Rayne Gallaway, who earned two RBI and two stolen bases.
Meanwhile, Platt RVT won against Goodwin Tech on Friday with 11 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Monday. The Panthers put the hurt on Wright Tech with a sharp 11-4 victory. That looming 11-4 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Panthers yet this season.
Platt RVT also got a great performance from Matt Karaffa as he tossed five innings while giving up three earned runs off three hits.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Jordan Jones, who went 4-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. Joshua Mongillo was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
Platt RVT kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are 3-1 when they post 11 or more hits.
Abbott RVT's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-5. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Platt RVT, their win ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 5-6.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Wednesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Abbott RVT has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.2 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Platt RVT struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4.3 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Abbott RVT took their victory against Platt RVT when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 13-6 score. Will the Wolverines repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
