Softball Recap: Bradley Central Snaps Six-Game Streak of Wins at Home

After flying high against Marion County last Saturday, Bradley Central came back down to earth. The Bears fell just short of the East Hamilton Hurricanes by a score of 4-3 on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hurricanes this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-0 two weeks ago.

Gracie Ownby spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on nine hits.

At the plate, Bradley Central saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lynlee Hodge, who scored a run while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Bradley Central's defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-12-1. As for East Hamilton, their record now sits at 8-6.

Looking ahead, Bradley Central will venture away from home to square off against Ooltewah at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for East Hamilton, they will welcome Cleveland at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
