Rigby hasn't had much luck against Thunder Ridge recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Trojans will venture away from home to challenge the Titans at 3:30 p.m. Rigby knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with ten runs or more in their past six matchups -- so hopefully Thunder Ridge likes a good challenge.
On Saturday, Rigby came up short against Hillcrest and fell 19-14. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Saturday (13), the Trojans still had to take the loss.

Maddie Jensen made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. She has been hot recently, having also posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Paislee Stewart, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with three runs and two RBI.
Meanwhile, Thunder Ridge faced Pocatello in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Titans sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-7 victory over the Thunder. The Titans haven't had any issues with the Thunder recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.
Thunder Ridge got a massive performance out of Zoey Sorg (2028), who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run. Chelsea Adams (2028) was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run.
Thunder Ridge always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .514. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
The victory got Thunder Ridge back to even at 6-6. As for Rigby, their loss dropped their record down to 10-2.
Rigby's speedy runners might be the difference in Tuesday's contest. The Trojans have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.3 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Thunder Ridge, though, as they've been averaging only 0.7 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Rigby continue to outrun the ball?
Rigby might still be hurting after the 12-1 defeat they got from Thunder Ridge in their previous matchup back in April of 2025. Can the Trojans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
