The McCann Tech Hornets will head out on the road to challenge Springfield Renaissance at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
McCann Tech had to hit the road for their first game and sadly it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They were outmatched by Pioneer Valley Regional on the road and fell 55-21.
Meanwhile, Springfield Renaissance put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Granby 74-30 on the road. Springfield Renaissance has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matchups by 26 points or more this season.
Springfield Renaissance found their leader in underclassman Sy'Nye Baker, who scored 27 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Baker has scored all season. Zi'yan Wallace was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
McCann Tech's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Springfield Renaissance, their win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-0.
McCann Tech came up short against Springfield Renaissance when the teams last played back in February of 2023, falling 49-45. Can McCann Tech avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
