Baseball Recap: Eastern Takes a Loss

Eastern suffered their biggest loss since March 20, 2024 on Tuesday. They came up short against the Lackey Chargers, falling 9-3.

Eastern saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rasheed Hardy, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-2. Hardy has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Zyair Smith was another, scoring a run and stealing two bases.

Eastern's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-5-1. As for Lackey, their win bumped their record up to 3-6.

Coming up, Eastern will head out to take on Field at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lackey, they will be playing at home against St. Charles at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Lackey's pitchers better be ready for this one: St. Charles has averaged an impressive 6.7 runs per game this season.
