The Avon Orioles had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 29 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They blew past Terre Haute South Vigo 73-18 at home. That looming 73-18 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Avon yet this season.
Avon found their leader in underclassman Kaylii Williams, who scored 20 points along with three steals. That's the first time this season that Williams grabbed two or more steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Nevaeh Wren, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds.
Avon's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-4. As for Terre Haute South Vigo, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-8 record this season.
