Brookstone came out on top against Strong Rock Christian by a score of 57-48 on Saturday. That's another feather in the cap for Brookstone, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Brookstone found their leader in underclassman Grayson Miley, who scored 20 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Miley has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Thomas Henderson, who scored seven points along with seven assists and five rebounds.
Strong Rock Christian's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Asa Shearer, who scored 17 points. Zack Phillips was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with seven rebounds.
Brookstone is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season. As for Strong Rock Christian, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 16-5.
Brookstone will stay at home for another game and welcome Heritage at 7:30 p.m. on February 6th.
