CORE Butte is 0-6 against Hamilton since December of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The CORE Butte Lynx will be playing in front of their home fans against the Hamilton Braves at 7:30 p.m. The pair have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for CORE Butte and five for Hamilton.
Last Friday, CORE Butte came up short against Williams and fell 65-54. CORE Butte has struggled against Williams recently, as their game on Friday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, Hamilton also suffered a loss in their last game, but this one to Los Molinos by a score of 50-42.
The match pitted two key players against one another: Kayden Strong and Karson Fox. Fox had a great game on Friday and dropped a double-double on 21 points and 11 rebounds. Meanwhile, Strong did his best for the losing side, scoring 15 points along with six rebounds and four steals.
CORE Butte's loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Hamilton, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost eight of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season.
CORE Butte might still be hurting after the 59-36 loss they got from Hamilton in their previous meeting back in February of 2023. Can CORE Butte avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
