Stevens lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Hillsboro-Deering, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Thursday's contest. The Cardinals were the clear victors by a 14-1 margin over the Hillcats on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Cardinals, who have now won six games by nine runs or more so far this season.

Stevens has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.8 runs over those games. As for Hillsboro-Deering, they dropped their record down to 0-8 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Stevens will host Monadnock at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Huskies' pitching crew has only allowed three runs per game this season, so the Cardinals' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Hillsboro-Deering, they will venture away from home to challenge Berlin at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
