Jay Race gave up the fewest earned runs he has since back in March on Wednesday. Highlands had no answer to Race as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Race has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances.

Coming up, Race and Scott will take on St. Henry at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Sadly, Race's big day wasn't enough to stop the loss, which snapped the Eagles' seven-game streak of wins at home. With the streak broken, Race and the Eagles surely have a bit of extra motivation heading into Saturday's match.
