The Norris Titans had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 33.7 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They breezed by Pius X at home to the tune of 42-12. The result was nothing new for Norris, who have now won five matches by 21 points or more so far this season.
Blake Macklin continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 256 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 16.0 yards per carry. Macklin's longest rush was for an incredible 72 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Jarrett Behrends, who threw for 141 yards and three touchdowns.
Norris has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. As for Pius X, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 2-6.
Norris will face off against Northwest at 7:00 p.m. on October 28th. Both teams might be coming in a bit winded given how much these teams ran in their prior games. Pius X does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
