The Xavier Prep Saints were the 81-19 winner over the Desert Christian Academy Conquerors when they last played one another back in December of 2018, but their luck changed this time around. Xavier Prep fell 50-37 to Desert Christian Academy on Friday.
Several Saints players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Johnny Ferrel, who scored 10 points. Ferrel scored a full 27% of Xavier Prep's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Paul Dreisbach, who scored 9 points along with 5 rebounds.
Xavier Prep's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Desert Christian Academy, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Xavier Prep is on the road again on Monday and play against Vincent Memorial at 7:00 p.m. on December 11th. As for Desert Christian Academy, they will challenge Nuview Bridge at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
