Starting off the list is Cortez's Michael Anthony, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Anthony rushed for 200 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 10.0 yards per carry. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 77-yard run.
Unfortunately for Camp Verde, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Anthony. Anthony rushed for 127 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries the last time he and the Cowboys duked it out back in October of 2023.

Joshua Mchale was instrumental in extending Glendale Prep Academy's winning streak to three on Friday. Nobody could stop Mchale as he threw for 260 yards and four touchdowns while completing 76.2% of his passes, and also rushed for 41 yards and a touchdown. He is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for four or more in the last three games he's played dating back to last season.
Unfortunately for Highland Prep, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Mchale. When Mchale last faced the Honey Badgers back in October of 2023, he threw for 116 yards and four touchdowns while completing 72.7% of his passes, and also rushed for 55 yards and a touchdown.

Jamerrius Anthony Delivers Best Effort of Season
On Friday, Cortez had to settle for second even though Jamerrius Anthony put up the best numbers he has all season.
