The Olean Huskies pushed their score all the way to 74 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a hard 89-74 fall against Warren. While losing is never fun, Olean can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 434th in New York, while Warren is ranked 29th in Pennsylvania).
Warren's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Konnor Hoffman led the charge by shooting 4-for-5 from deep and dropping a double-double on 18 points and 13 rebounds. Those 18 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Brady Berdine, who scored 23 points along with seven rebounds and five assists.
Olean's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Warren, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 9-0.
