The Hamilton Marines's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their fifth straight loss. They took a hard 46-30 fall against Edon. Hamilton has struggled against Edon recently, as their game on Monday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Several Marines players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Zane Ritter, who scored five points. Ritter also grabbed two steals for the first time this season. Another player making a difference was Dylan Holiday, who scored five points along with eight rebounds.
Hamilton's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Edon, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hamilton will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Garrett at 7:30 p.m. on January 2, 2024. Edon won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Eastside at 7:00 p.m. on December 19th.
