Pinewood Prep got themselves on the board against Porter-Gaud on Monday, but Porter-Gaud never followed suit. They were the clear victor by a 10-0 margin over the Porter-Gaud Cyclones. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won seven matches by ten runs or more so far this season.

Carson Good was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. What's more, he posted three RBI, the most he's had since back in May of 2024. Will Watson also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Pinewood Prep always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .552. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .500 or higher in three consecutive contests.

Pinewood Prep's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-2. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.3 runs on average over those games. As for Porter-Gaud, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.

Pinewood Prep will have a chance to go back-to-back against Porter-Gaud: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
