Six must be John Battle's lucky number: they beat Abingdon with that score not once but twice on Thursday. The Trojans beat the Falcons by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 6-2. Winning may never get old, but the Trojans sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

John Battle's win bumped their record up to 12-4. As for Abingdon, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 19-4.

Coming up, John Battle will challenge Tazewell at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bulldogs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.61 runs per game on average), something the Trojans will no doubt try to take advantage of. Abingdon does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
