Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Neumann Regional Academy). They blew past the Sullivan County Griffins 27-11 on Tuesday. Considering the Golden Knights have won seven matches by more than seven runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Andrew Walter was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Walter was also stellar in the batter's box, going 4-for-5 with seven RBI, three runs, and one double. Those seven RBI gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Neumann Regional Academy let Angelo Birch and Avery Taddeo run wild. Birch got on base in all six of his plate appearances with four runs, two stolen bases, and two RBI, while Taddeo got on base in four of his six plate appearances with three runs and four RBI. That's the most runs Birch has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Nolan Fagnano, who got on base in three of his six plate appearances with two runs and two RBI.
