Capistrano Valley Christian's dynamic duo of Riley Babick and Ben Sukut proved tough for Boron to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Babick threw for 243 yards and one touchdown and Sukut had 146 yards receiving. Mike Updegraff helped Capistrano Valley Christian's passing attack out by catching six balls for 83 yards.
The Eagles' Babick and Sukut have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Capistrano Valley Christian's Sukut is a few successful plays short of surpassing 1,000 yards receiving this season. He needs only 93 receiving yards against Xavier Prep to hit that benchmark.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Santa Clarita Christian takes on Fairmont Prep. Garrick Moss' team is currently in second, while the Huskies are in fourth.
Fairmont Prep led San Joaquin in scoring this week after putting up 45 points on Animo Leadership.
