The Chancellor Chargers stacked a tenth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Monday. They blew past Culpeper County 84-38 at home. Chancellor's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Chancellor was led to victory by Kendall Scott and Natalie Lanning. Scott scored 23 points along with six assists and five steals, while Lanning scored 26 points along with five assists and five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Lanning has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Lydia Brockelbank, who scored 12 points along with two steals.
The win was the seventh in a row for Chancellor, bringing their record for this year to 13-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.4 points per game. As for Culpeper County, they now have a losing record at 6-7.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chancellor will take on James Monroe at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. James Monroe will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Virginia Rankings (they are ranked 209th, while Chancellor is ranked 79th). Culpeper County will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Courtland at 6:30 p.m. on January 26th.
