Flagler has been on the road for two straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Miami-Yoder Buffaloes at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Flagler will be strutting in after a win while Miami-Yoder will be coming in after a loss.
Last Saturday, Flagler made easy work of Weldon Valley and carried off a 46-26 win.
Flagler relied on the efforts of Sydnie Berry, who scored 10 points along with 7 steals, and Jaylie Stone, who scored 23 points along with 7 steals and 6 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of KaCee Jo Saffer, who scored 4 points along with 3 steals.
Meanwhile, Miami-Yoder came up short against Bethune on Saturday and fell 28-21. Miami-Yoder has struggled against Bethune recently, as their matchup on Saturday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Emma Book was Miami-Yoder's leading scorer, having posted seven points. Book also led the team in assists with three.
The losses dropped Flagler to 1-1 and Weldon Valley to 0-2.
Flagler came up short against Miami-Yoder in their previous meeting back in January of 2021, falling 49-37. Thankfully for Flagler, Lanai Anderson (who dropped a double-double on 29 points and 16 rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
