Oak Forest has gone a perfect 7-0 against Reavis recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Bengals will head out on the road to face off against the Rams at 4:30 p.m. Reavis took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Oak Forest, who comes in off a win.
Oak Forest is headed out in good spirits considering the team just ended their winless streak on the road against Bremen on Wednesday. The Bengals put the hurt on the Braves with a sharp 17-0 win. With that victory, the Bengals brought their scoring average up to 7.1 runs per game.
Nadia Andrysiak made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out eight over four innings pitched. Andrysiak was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.
In other batting news, Oak Forest got a massive performance out of Alexis Richter, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. That stolen base marked the first that Richter has snagged this season. Another player making a difference was Addison McClure, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and three runs.
Oak Forest was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .720. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Reavis entered their contest against Oak Lawn on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Rams fell 10-5 to the Spartans.
Marissa Lombardo made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Lily Fish, who earned two runs and one stolen base.
Reavis' loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Oak Forest, their win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-4.
Thursday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Oak Forest has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .454. However, it's not like Reavis struggles in that department as they've averaged .437. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Oak Forest got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in April of 2025 against Reavis by a conclusive 10-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bengals since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
