If the MaxPreps state rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for Kentwood. On Thursday they take on Broadmoor at 7:00 PM. Kentwood are cruising in on a four-game winning streak while Broadmoor are stumbling in off of three consecutive losses.
Kentwood didn't have too many spare points in their contest with Franklin Parish last Friday, but they still walked away with a 30-24 win. The team accrued the bulk of their points in the first half (24) and coasted on those for the victory.
Meanwhile, Broadmoor lost to Southern Lab by a decisive 14-31 margin.
Kentwood's victory lifted them to 4-0 while Broadmoor's defeat dropped them down to 1-3. In their victory, Kentwood relied heavily on senior Terrell Hookfin, who passed for 256 yards and 4 touchdowns. Broadmoor will need to find a way to minimize his impact if they want to win.
